Scrapbook Page

I seem to be doing a lot of scrapbooking at the moment... so here is a page I thought I would share...
The layout is really simple. I used the Le Jardin Designer Papers (page 73, £8.50 for 12 sheets) which BTW are GORGEOUS!!, and some On Board chipboard letters (page 79). which I covered in some paper and inked around the edge with Barely Black. (I think these are US letters but we do them too!!)
The papers are DOUBLE SIDED so you get twice as much for your money... This is a 12 x 12" layout and I only used about 1/3 of a sheet of 2 different papers.
Enjoy,
Thanks for looking...

Just a little THANK YOU for being so wonderful and letting me share my love of papercraft with you.

Circle Card

This is an idea that I lifted from a papercraft magazine...

I used an old CD as a template for the circle shape... Its the perfect size...

Recipe:
Card.. Regal Rose, Rose Red, Pale Plum, small piece of Designer Paper in Close to Cocoa.
Ink... Close to Cocoa, Pink Passion, Pretty in Pink.
Stamps... Pick a Petal, Cheer & Wishes.

I used the Pick a Petal stamps on different coloured card with different inks to get a randon effect, cut out the petals and highlighted with some glitter.
The edge of the main card was decorated with circles punched with the 1 3/8" circle punch which were 'stressed' by rubbing the Close to Cocoa ink pad over them. I used the same aging technique around the edge of the main card and the Close to Cocoa Designer Paper.
After assembling I used the Cheer & Wishes stamps... The 'Happy' is actually the 'Happy Anniversary' stamp and the 'Birthday' is from the 'Birthday Cheer & Wishes' stamp. I used a post-it note to mask the parts of the stamp I didn't want inked and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the words.

After gluing the circles on the 'spine' of the card I realised it was then difficult to open so I made a couple of cuts in the circles. This allows the card to lay flat open and you don't even notice the cuts!!
Have a try at making some different shaped cards and please feel free to leave a comment & let me know what you think...
Enjoy,

Abbi's Card!

My daughter has caught the bug!!!
I have been asked to put this card on my blogsite by my daughter...
She made it to cheer up a friend at school!
All supplies were in my cupboard, (all non SU... she doesnt get to play with that stock!!). The only thing I had to help with was punching the holes...
Oh dear, is this a taste of things to come...?

Dhalia Flower Fold...

This is the result of a layout challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com (SC167) and the amazing flower fold is from a tutorial by Donna Moore. The flower petals are made with some of the SU double-sided, Designer Papers (paper featured was given to me.. it is from the USA : ( but any of the SU papers will work) and is made from circles punched out with the 1 3/8" punch. Each circle is folded to make a petal shape and then mounted to form the flower.

I've used Blush Blossom for the card blank, Chocolate Chip and Certainly Celery for the toppers and my Stampin-Around Jumbo Wheel with Leaves a'la Carte in Mellow Moss. The pretty in the centre of the flower is a Circle Rhinestone Brad.
The sentiment is from the Cheer & Wishes stamp set (pg 63) and for £16.95 you get a set of 6 stamps which just about cover every occasion throughout the year... A great investment.

Here's the original Sketch Challenge...

Why not try this layout for yourselves... Would work for a scrapbook page too!

Let me know what results you get...

Enjoy...

National Scrapbooking Day!

This is one of the FAB new projects that I found over on SplitcoastStampers.com. In honour of National Scrapbooking Day in May I will be giving each of my Hostesses (in April) a hand-made, ready to customise, Mini-Scrapbook! (Photo and post to follow...)

This one belongs to me though!

The photo is a bit misleading, the hand belongs to my 7 year old daughter so its not as big as it looks here...!

The pages inside are made from a single sheet of 12 x 12" cardstock, scored, cut and folded to make 12 pages in total...

I used Stamin Around Wheel - Leaves a'la Carte in Mellow Moss ink, cardstock is also Mellow Moss.
Belly band is made from a scrap of Ballet Blue with some yummy Close to Cocoa Taffeta Ribbon. The sentiment is from the Summer by the Sea stamp set. And of course Ive used my new favourite toys, the 1 3/8" and scallop punches...

(BTW the photos are from a trip to the Lake District... beautiful!)

I will be posting more over the next few days including my FREE HOSTESS GIFT... MINI-SCRAPBOOK.

Thanks for looking...

Enjoy
